Imagine
our delight when we drove up to the Champoeg Wine Cellars and
discovered that the buildings were a very lovely shade of
purple. We were given exquisite service and food by
the Tasting Room Manager, Robin
Rowland, and the Chef, Peggy Planer. (Row 1,

We were seated on
the back patio overlooking the magnificent wine orchards and
enjoyed tasting the following:

Heirloom
tomatoes with fresh fennel & salmon with Pinot Gris

Chicken salad
with Chardonnay

Melon with
Riesling

Quiche with
French Prairie Blanc (blush)

Chocolate cream
puffs with Pinot Noir

Lemon cookies with
Port
The food was
excellent, the wine fabulous, and the company, as always, was
terrific!
I wanted there to be
a little more action in the pictures I was taking, so I asked
Gail Oliver to please do something silly to make the picture
