We had so
much fun at the Butteville Store, a truly old-fashioned general
store, located near Aurora. There were tables to play
checkers, rocking chairs in front, and a picnic area in the back when the
weather is behaving.
There is a
gift shop and small museum and books from days gone by. The store is
the oldest continuously run retail store in Oregon.
Our lunches
were generous and delicious. The manager, Diane, and her
wonderful staff, made sure we all had a good time. Pictures of them
are below.
We sang and
kazoo'd Happy Birthday (long and short versions) to Joan Sequito,
who wore an adorable purple feathered hat.
We would
definitely come back here again!
