The Crimson
Crones’ 10th Annual Sandie Heinz Spring Fling held at the beautiful Persimmon
Golf Club in Gresham and hosted by Jean Mounsey and Jackie
Nicolay on March 16 was a huge success. The theme was Carnival/Circus
Time. Queen Jill opened the event explaining how the Spring
Fling came to be 10 years ago.
Games
played were Fish and Clown Toss along with a Fortune Teller.
There were prizes for everyone.
The 3
categories this year were Best Overall Outfit representative of our
theme (lady in the tall yellow hat), Most Creative (the giraffe
outfit) and Most Outrageous (cleaning lady with the bucket).
Prizes won were 2 watches with necklace and earrings and a beautiful
blingy necklace.
Everyone
loved Fishing. It reminded them of their grade school days.
The Clown Toss was a little bit harder but the remaining prizes
were passed around after the event. A long line formed to get our
fortunes told. There was also a spot to take your pictures by
sticking your head through the clown’s heads.
Each
table had multi colored napkins and balloons along with a cookie jar that
was passed on to one lady at each table. Fresh popcorn was the party
favor of the day.
B.J.
Schmeltzer came as a cleaning lady with her mop and passed out candy
to everyone. She was hilarious.
Thanks to
all the wonderful Volunteers. We couldn’t have done it
without them. Included were Crimson Crone Clara Kries, Marilyn
Harris, Linda Brown, Debra Dunlap, Ruby Begonias Lorraine Swiger, Dee
Ferrante, Claudia Darling, Bobbie Waggoner, Hazeldell Wildflower
Shirley Ann Shipman and our Fortune Teller Gail Oliver.
Our
favorite Vendors Sharon and Dave with Society Woman and
Lori and Kevin from The Bright Yellow House were
there with all their beautiful hats, clothing and jewelry.
A raffle
was held with a donation of hats from Lori and Sharon.
Thank you Ladies. A blingy studded purse was donated by Jean.
There were many other items available to win.
Lunch was
delicious and the staff was very efficient and friendly.
